Improper fastener alignment can be a common problem during assembly line production. This is a problem that can lead to costly no-start and cross-threading situations. Many anti-cross thread point designs exist, but many don't perform as desired. Optimum designs will easily self-locate and align the fastener with the hole. This compensates for off-angle and off-center starts.
